BJP district secretary among three booked for circulating obscene video in UP’s Ballia
Ballia (UP), Sep 16 (PTI) A BJP district secretary and two others have been booked for allegedly circulating a woman’s intimate video and photographs on WhatsApp in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district, police said on Wednesday.
The case was registered on Tuesday under Section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene content in electronic form) of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act against Alok Singh, Ganesh Gupta and Ajit Mishra on the complaint of the 35-year-old woman, police said.
According to the FIR, the accused caused harm to her privacy, dignity and social reputation by allegedly circulating the woman’s intimate video, police said.
Bansdih’s Station House Officer Rakesh Singh said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
