Supreme Court rebuked the Manipur Government over cases of unnatural deaths, sexual harassment in relief camps across the state
The Supreme Court on Thursday rebuked the Manipur Government over the alleged cases of unnatural deaths and sexual harassment in relief camps. The top court ordered the Chief Secretary of Manipur to file a detailed report on all 25 deaths under suspicious circumstances.
A Bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymala Bagchi and Justice V Mohana was hearing petitions linked to the investigation and proceedings of sexual violence cases that surfaced during the 2023 ethnic violence in Manipur.
