House Republicans Cut Legislative Week Short, Vote On Pete Hegseth Impeachment Resolution Delayed
The House is scheduled to not return before November 9, after the midterm elections.
House Republican leaders have brought forward the end of the final legislative week before the US midterm elections, with lawmakers now set to leave Washington after Wednesday’s votes.
The decision was announced by the office of GOP Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota. A vote on California environmental regulations that was originally scheduled for Thursday has been shifted to Wednesday, effectively cutting the session short by a day.
