An 11-year-old girl died after her hair became caught in a generator fan during a Ganesh idol immersion procession in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, turning a festive celebration into a tragedy.
The incident took place in Damarapakham village of Nagari mandal on Monday night. The girl, identified as Prasanna Sri, was a Class 5 student at a local government primary school.
