Fluminense midfielder Matheus Martinelli has earned his first Brazil call-up, replacing injured Chelsea forward Joao Pedro for upcoming friendlies against Australia and India.
Brazilian midfielder Matheus Martinelli will fly to Kolkata with his national team after being drafted into the squad for the India friendly, as Joao Pedro pulled out due to injury. He will also feature in the squad for the friendly against Australia.
The 24-year-old replaces injured Chelsea forward Pedro, with the call-up marking Martinelli’s first inclusion in Brazil’s senior team.
