Rupee slips below 96 per dollar in early trade
Rupee slid 19 paise to 96.10 against the dollar on Thursday as global uncertainties and a Fed rate hike of 25 bps lifted the greenback. RBI’s suspected intervention capped losses, while Brent crude stayed high at $105.55 per barrel.
The currency, however, pared losses and traded with a gain of 10 paise following suspected RBI intervention.
