'Om Namah Shivay': Abhishek Sharma Invokes Lord Shiva To Celebrate Landmark Century

Abhishek Sharma broke Rohit Sharma's record of fastest T20I century by an Indian on Thursday night.
India opener Abhishek Sharma may have unleashed carnage at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday night, but his celebration indicated something polar opposite. While the crowd at the venue went berserk as he sent hapless Afghanistan bowlers on a leather hunt during the third T20I, he celebrated his landmark century – the fastest by an Indian in the format – in style.
Abhishek, after taking a single off the 30th delivery he faced, broke Rohit Sharma’s record of the fastest century by an Indian in T20Is (35 balls vs Sri Lanka in 2017). And after taking off his gloves, helmet and putting his bat to rest on the turf, the youngster celebrated by assuming Padmasana pose.
