Abhishek Sharma isn't just an innovator when it comes to his hard-hitting batting but also with his celebrations. He has pulled out quite a few during his career, especially in the IPL. And this time, he decided to channel his inner Erling Haaland.

Abhishek broke the record for the fastest T20I hundred by a full-member nation batter when he reached the landmark in just 30 balls. A video circulating on social media has shown him copying the celebration by Haaland, which he usually uses after scoring goals in the Premier League.

This was Abhishek's third T20I hundred of his career and he also broke Rohit Sharma's record for the fastest T20I century by an Indian batter.

Abhishek Sharma has made the most of his chances in the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan, responding to the pressure around his place with a string of impactful performances. His position at the top of the order was far from guaranteed, with 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Sanju Samson also in contention for the opening slots.

The scrutiny was particularly intense given Abhishek’s recent form. Coming into the Delhi leg of the series, the left-hander had gone seven innings without a fifty, including four scores in single digits. With competition for places heating up, Abhishek needed a response and he has delivered it in emphatic fashion.

After a fifty in the first T20I and a blazing cameo in the second one, Abhishek looked to be in a completely different mode, scoring his fifty off just 16 balls. Abhishek departed for 108 off 34 balls, hitting nine boundaries and 11 sixes.
