Punjab Govt Constitutes Seven-Member Panel Over Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act

The Coordination Committee was formally constituted by the Punjab government's Department of Home Affairs and Justice through an order issued on September 16, 2026.

The Punjab government has constituted a seven-member Coordination Committee following directions from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to facilitate regular coordination with the committee formed by the Sikh body on matters related to the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026.

The newly formed panel will coordinate with the Sri Akal Takht Sahib-appointed committee on issues concerning the Act and place its recommendations and reports on significant matters before the Punjab government for further consideration.
